Bent Double
The only cure for a rainy Sunday night is the warm, boystrous atmosphere of Bent Double.
A loyal, cheerful audience were welcomed by MC Zoe Lyons on top form, showing off her vest and bringing a refreshing indifference to Christmas. Opening act was energetic Suzi Ruffell who not only had us belly laughing, but handled a group of hecklers with aplomb. No flies on her.
Newcomer Russell Arathoon was next up; a strong start, but nervous energy meant his comedy rhythm became slightly out.
Headliner Eleanor Tiernan was a charmingly off-kilter feminist whose unpredictable right turns had us hooked.
Superb fun, highly recommended.
