Slave’s tombstone renewed as historians look to create BME trail

The gravestone of an African slave who briefly charmed 19th century Brighton has been taken away for a touch up.

And after the renewal of the Tombstone of Thomas Highflyer, historians here are looking to recognize the role other Black and Ethnic minorities (BME) that have played in the city’s history.
