Hove business owner fights back after £600 fine for incorrect recycling

A woman was given a £600 fine and threatened with jail after she accidentally put a single cardboard box in the wrong bin.

When, Alison Mapletoft, mother-of-two, phoned 3GS, she was told that she faced a prison sentence or a £2,500 fine unless she paid up.
