Stage: Britain’s favourite magician, master of mind-control and psychological illusionist Derren Brown comes to Eastbourne

Lovers of magic and mystery should already be getting excited about the news that Derren Brown is back on the road with yet another evening of intriguing illusion and mind play. Anyone who has had the pleasure of catching one of his incredible tours must surely have booked for this! And the Olivier Award nomination for Derren Brown: Underground in the Best Entertainment and Family category is a big coup for Derren, who is described variously as “illusionist, mentalist, trickster, hypnotist, painter, writer, and sceptic”.

This comes after a worldwide distribution deal with Netflix to screen three TV specials, which began on 27 February 2018 with Derren Brown: The Push. The other two specials are a televised version of his celebrated live show Derren Brown: Miracle and a brand new special, the details of which are currently under wraps.

Tickets for Underground in Eastbourne have sold exceptionally fast unsurprisingly, and due to demand restricted view seats, which are not usually allocated for sale, have had to be released. And extra screens will be in place to ensure that all audience members will have a good view of the proceedings.

Underground brings together a collection of his very best work and promises a jaw-dropping experience of magical genius and epic showmanship not to be missed. Having seen several of his shows we know that this is true. Brown is the name to be conjured with when it comes to modern magic.
