Enter The Dragons

Like an hour-long Rocky Horror Show for middle-aged women, Enter The Dragons was celebration and collector of the outsider ‘older woman’. Beautifully framed as an everywoman tale, the two brought humour, pathos, honesty and discovery to the fore as our ‘Protagonist’ journeys through a transition of self-identity and self-examination. You can see Spymonkey’s Toby Park’s directing fingerprints all over the show, from the marvellous props to the enthusiastic physical performances, but it was co-Protagonists Abigail Dooley and Emma Edwards’ unflynching commitment to the truth and joy of the piece that made them the stars of it.
