Simon Munnery: Renegade Plumber

Many people would think that a comedy show revolving around a haphazard explanation of the invention of a heating system for a tent would be boring. And in the hands of many, they’d be right. But somehow, Munnery makes it work in the most endearing and effortless way. Sure, the show is totally shambolic, seemingly put together without much care or endeavour. I experienced frustration, bafflement, tedium. But I also experienced the timeless tingle that this seasoned pro can deliver with the most delicate and subtle of punchlines, and that will always make it worthwhile.
