Ockham’s Razor: Tipping Point

The acclaimed circus-theatre troupe Ockham’s Razor’s latest show was an intriguing blend of traditional circus and contemporary dance. Performed in the round, an imposing construct of high metal beams tenting above the stage hosted talented acrobats manipulating metal poles in dazzling ways. Delicately dancing atop the flimsiest of towers one minute, the next swinging rapidly in a makeshift trapeze before hurtling to inches above the ground, Tipping Point’s preoccupation was the moment in which one thing becomes another. Celebrating the delicate balance achieved by individual elements to maintain the whole, this was a spectacular evening from these masters of their craft.
