‘Hood’ Thinking! The Adventures of Robin Hood take to the great outdoors this half-term, at the Brighton Open Air Theatre

JW Productions invite you to join a thrilling adventure as Robin and his merry band whisk you to Sherwood forest to rise up and fight against the wicked Sheriff of Nottingham! Expect boo-able villains, thigh-slapping songs, narrow escapes and daring escapades!

From the creative team behind last Summer’s smash-hit, The Wind in The Willows; Brighton’s biggest panto, The Amazing Adventures of Pinocchio; the open air adventure Treasure Island and the critically acclaimed Peter Pan! JW Productions bring their fourth production to Brighton Open Air Theatre, located at Dyke Road Park.

‘Performing in the open air is just a wonderful thing’ says James Weisz ‘the audiences love it too, families find it very freeing and relaxing, children can stand, move around, eat, drink – picnics are actively encouraged!’

The Adventures of Robin Hood stars local actress, Charlotte Melissa Tyler as Maid Marian. Charlotte is a member of Zyrah Rose – (Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalists), in addition to being an accomplished actor, having appeared in TV, Commercials and touring theatre.

Expect boo-able villains, thigh-slapping songs, narrow escapes and daring escapades!

Alexander Varey takes on the title role, who’s stage work includes The Legend of King Arthur (Guildford Shakespeare Company), One Man Two Guvnors, The Complete Works of William Shakespeare [abridged], (The Old Joint Stock Theatre, Birmingham), Romeo & Juliet, Hamlet (Young Shakespeare Company; UK & Gibraltar Tours), Shakespeare’s Yorkshire (Think:Light Theatre), A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Lancaster Castle Open Air). Joined by twenty young performers from across Sussex who make up his merry band of outlaws.

Patric Kearns plays The Sheriff of Nottingham, who’s performances include Don’t Dress for Dinner, West-End; One Man, Two Guv’nors at Eastbourne Theatres; Dealer’s Choice Emporium, Brighton; and over thirty years in pantomimes across the UK.
