My Dad Wrote a Porno Live

Live podcast shows can sometimes be alienating to the uninitiated but even someone who had not heard any of My Dad Wrote a Porno would love the live experience. The concept is that a youngish man (Jamie Morton) reads his actual father’s mind-bendingly awful ‘erotic’ fiction while his two friends (Alice Levine and James Cooper) mercilessly dissect it. Add in some fun audience participation and it got very weird, very funny and  very non-sexy. The crowd lapped it up. The podcast’s success is well deserved and I can imagine bigger venues giving them a call; maybe the Millennium Dome Building?
