Bar Code: Brighton Cocktail Week 2018
Brighton is seen as the cocktail capital of Europe. Other city’s might be bigger, might have more bars but here on the south coast cocktail culture has been at the heart of going out for many years. And that culture has been influencing coktail makers on a global scale. Now Brighton’s biggest ever cocktail week is about to start and throughout the city you can enjoy £5 cocktails with a twist at over 40 bars and restaurants around Brighton & Hove.
Organised by Brighton’s Mixology Group, the city’s cocktail training masters, and Brighton & Hove Food & Drink Festival, the city will be celebrating the cocktail in its many forms, from long and sexy to short and dry, dry, dry! In bars and in restaurants excellent mixologists will be shaking it up using a range of featured spirits and mixers and there’s sure to be something to suit every palate.
On Friday 6 and Saturday 7 July, why not join in the fun at the Paganini Ballroom and Regency Room at the Old Ship Hotel on the seafront for a two-day Cocktail Court festival showcase, featuring local producers and leading international brands.
There’s a huge list of must-do events, and in a packed week you can dine in style at Brighton’s leading restaurants where experimental chef-mixologist collaboration dinners and events are taking place – including the return of Cocktail Fusion featuring six mixologists and six street food kitchens working together to bring you the very freshest ideas from the cutting edge of their world.
And if cocktails served with a dash of entertainment are your thing then head along to Brighton Flair World Open 2018 at The Haunt on Sunday 15 July. For full details of participating bars and restaurants and all events go to brightoncocktailweek.com
