Project Brighton: The MET is proud to sponsor The Hawks!
Greater Brighton Metropolitan College are delighted to announce a pioneering partnership with Whitehawk Football Club by sponsoring the club’s shirts for the 2018/19 season.
The Hawks, based in East Brighton, started their 2018/19 season in the Bostik Premier League with a 4-2 home win against Harlow Town on 11 August and are currently unbeaten in all competitions. The MET logo will feature on the front of the home and away first team shirts, as well as the club’s successful under-18’s home and away shirts.
The sponsorship deal goes beyond the kit, though, with the MET and The Hawks forging a partnership which will be mutually beneficial for the College, the club and the wider community of Greater Brighton.
Lucie Coxon, Head of Marketing and Student Recruitment at the MET is excited at the partnership:
Through supporting The Hawks we look forward to continuing our engagement with the local community
“The MET is thrilled to begin a partnership with Whitehawk FC by sponsoring their shirts for the 2018/19 season. We can’t wait to see the teams run out in their new MET branded kit and we are excited at the prospect of working with a grass-roots, inclusive, and community-focussed organisation. We already have plans for several events at the Terra Pura Ground, and are also looking forward to many opportunities for our students to benefit from the partnership. Through supporting The Hawks we look forward to continuing our engagement with the local community and raising awareness for both the football club and the MET.”
The partnership represents the largest, most comprehensive shirt sponsorship deal for the club in the last 10 years, and the new home kit was unveiled at the Hawk’s home match, against Wingate & Finchley on Saturday, August 25.
Head of Commercial at Whitehawk FC, Kevin Miller said:
“I am delighted to welcome the staff and students of the MET to Whitehawk FC. As we began to discuss how we could work together it became clear that there is a tremendous opportunity for both parties to create a pioneering partnership, and the club can play an active part in creating many opportunities to pave the way for much needed experience for our region’s student population, something in the current climate we believe is essential.”
