Private rented sector licensing scheme in Brighton

A new licensing scheme which will monitor the private rented sector, will affect landlords across 12 wards in Brighton. These wards are St Peter’s & North Laine, Regency, Moulsecoomb & Bevendean, Hollingdean & Stanmer, Queen’s Park, Hanover & Elm Grove, Brunswick & Adelaide, East Brighton, South Portslade, Central Hove, Westbourne and Preston Park. The scheme will be introduced from 4 February 2019 and will likely affect around 27,000 properties.
