Review: Teleman

Teleman delivered their jaunty, bass-driven slice of indie-pop to an appreciative Concorde 2 crowd making sure that they played all the favourites while seemingly enjoying the chance to perform for an obviously discerning audience. The London four piece displayed an added synth element to a tight set that still never managed to hit the dancefloor orientated grooves of Hot Chip or utilise electronic stylings as well as Erlend Oye. Comparisons with Franz Ferdinand are probably closer to the mark but Teleman have time on their side – and a supportive label in Moshi Moshi – to hone a distinctive sound.
