Latest TV speaks to Stuart Simmonds, the Children’s Author!

Latest TV Presenter, Yael Breuer, speaks to the Children’s Author, Stuart Simmonds, about the first book in a new series. From the creators of the acclaimed ‘Hannah the Spanner’ children’s books, the new publication, ‘Harry the Karate Monkey’, will have both children and parents laughing out loud at the actions and exploits of an extremely average monkey. Ideal for early readers, these beautifully illustrated books are large, colourful, and easy to read with an eye-catching format. The ‘Harry the Karate Monkey’ books follow on from the highly successful ‘Hannah the Spanner’ series. The ‘Harry’ books are written by ex-pro cricketer, Stuart Simmonds, who originally created the stories as bedtime reading for his youngest daughter, Lucy. “I loved reading to my daughters, Hannah and Lucy, every night. For me, it was one of my favourite parts of their childhood and we still talk about it as a family. I want to bring this same magic to other families, to help parents and children alike get as much pleasure from reading together as I did with my children.” explains Simmonds. The books are colourfully illustrated by Bill Greenhead, who has previously worked on Charlie Smith Super Kid (Emma Lynch) and Animal Avengers (Malorie Blackman).
