Cuckmere Haven Planning Permission Approval

The vista of Cuckmere Haven, the Coastguard Cottages and the Seven Sisters cliffs beyond, which is currently gracing a set of commemorative Royal Mail stamps in celebration of our National Parks, is under peril from collapsing into the sea. This area has a special place in my heart, that’s where I shot my very first film, and I’m sure many share my view for other reasons. After 6 years, on Thursday 11th February, “Britain’s best view” received approval from the South Downs National Park Authority Planning Committee to reinforce the maritime defences.
