In this edition of Entertainment News we’re speaking about Natasha Britton.

The recent announcement that disability dance champion Natasha Britton, is to be recognised with the prestigious British Citizen Award in recognition of her extraordinary work in the field of disability and dance. The British Citizen Award in partnership with One Stop, is now in its eighth year and recognises exceptional individuals who positively impact their communities.

Natasha has taught inclusive dance to thousands of people with disabilities, helping them unlock their potential through the power of dance. In 2019 she took the step to co-create a community interest company ‘Parable Dance’ with the purpose of providing a space for creativity, individuality, and opportunity for people with disabilities through dance and as that film shows, the world is a much better place for it.

Next, Stomp is back at The Old Market!

The internationally acclaimed show created by Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas is taking up a residency at The Old Market, AKA TOM, this March. The run forms part of TOM’s Gig for a gig fundraising initiative which sees established artists donate performances to the venue with the profits moving forward to provide opportunities for new generations of artists to work at the venue.

Stomp is at TOM from Tuesday 29 March – Sunday 1 May

With workshops from Tuesday 8 – Sunday 13 March but booking for those is essential.
