Creating Art Inspired by Conflict

Yulia Zhevakina is a young artist and animator who has lived in the UK for six years after coming from Ukraine to study. Since the war began, she has become even more prolific with her creations, with some of her recent work being inspired by the conflict, even if that is not apparent at first glance. Her work includes watercolour and acrylic compositions, depicting people, nature, animals and dreams.

She speaks to Latest TV’s Yael Breuer about her life, work, homeland and how she has reacted to recent events. We also see her artwork, which has been exhibited in many places including Frankfurt.
