Over in Chichester excitement is building as rehearsals are underway for their musical offering this season. Starring Charlie Stemp and Carly Anderson, Crazy for You promises to be an all singing all dancing triumph. This hilarious, riotously entertaining musical is packed with glorious Gershwin melodies (including Someone to Watch Over Me, Embraceable You, I Got Rhythm and They Can’t Take That Away from Me), with stunning tap dance routines guaranteed to set the spirits soaring. The witty book and dialogue are written by Ken Ludwig. This brand new production, which celebrates the work’s 30th anniversary, is directed and choreographed by Susan Stroman: true Broadway royalty.

Crazy for You opens on July the 11th.

In Brighton, get a slice of history as SIX returns. The rock and roll version of the story of the wives of Henry the Eight is back for another week. I was ambiguous before seeing it, but this high octane show won me over. It came as no surprise when it transferred to Broadway and took the great white way by storm.

Six is at Theatre Royal Brighton from Tuesday the 19th of July for one week.
