Concerts at Lunch & Coffee Time

How do you spend your Sunday mornings, do you lie in or go to church or do you catch up on the Archers? All totally acceptable but none perhaps as elevating as attending the Brighton Dome season of coffee concerts that take place at the Attenborough Centre for Creative Arts. At 11am on Sunday mornings there is a season of brilliant chamber concerts and on the 16th of October French string quartet Quatuor Agate will perform Boccherini, Bartok and Brahms, rather pleasing alliteration there but I suspect not intentional.

One of our favourite Brighton venues is the Unitarian Church in New Road, a beautiful classical building that hosts an exceptional and varied programme of Friday lunchtime concerts. And when I say varied I mean everything from classical through contemporary, folk and of course Jazz. On the 28th of October, performing for the first time at Brighton Unitarian is Neil Crossland with a programme that includes works by Haydn, Beethoven and Philip Glass. These are always excellent concerts, extraordinary good value and timed to slot into a well timed lunch break.
