Latest TV with the news in your area hosted by Mike Mendoza.

Today, Mike dedicates the news to boxing, where former professional boxer Scott Welsh plans to reduce youth crime with a new youth hub in Lancing with help from the WBC Cares (World Boxing Charity) Completely transforming the area into a friendly recreational ground with a cafe, training and music rooms. Many local businesses around the area are already donating goods and supporting the building work being carried out.

Mike speaks to Kieran Green, a sports coach and boxer who was born with cerebral palsy. He hasn’t let his disability define him, taking part in sport throughout school and playing on a disability football team from the age of 7. After leaving school, Kieran did an apprenticeship in disability sport coaching with his team and Brighton & Hove Albion in the Community, taking on a part-time coaching role at first which then lead into a full-time role.

He’s recently got involved with Scott Welsh and the WBCC to create WBC adaptive boxing, to promote the sport and show that everyone can take part, no matter their disability.

Find out more about the WBCC and the role Scott Welsh and Kieran Green are playing in bringing adaptive sport to the forefront in the video.
