Making Marilyn – a play about Love and Time
Brighton Fringe starts anew this May from Friday May 3rd. And for fans of Marilyn Monroe, a very special play is featured at Horatio’s Brighton Palace Pier, both as part of Brighton Fringe, and starting a day before on Thursday May 2nd.
There are three days to catch this wonderful play by writers Julie Burchill and Daniel Raven on May 2nd, May 3rd, and May 4th.
The intriguing description asks the following:
“If you had a chance to spend 24 hours in a hotel room with the person you fancied most in the whole history of the world, would you take it? Of course you would! But what if they had even worse problems than you, and you knew they were going to take their own life? Would you try to seduce them – or save them?”
The play promises to be both a fan letter to Marilyn Monroe, and a more in depth exploration of what might have been and what still could be. Covering literature, politics, psychology, and up to date genetic science, this is so much more than a play about a starlet’s life. Because, the starlet herself was so much more than most of us ever knew. With Julie Burchill and Daniel Raven’s signature startling dialogue, grab tickets now for Making Marilyn
