FilmPride Comes to Latest TV: Celebrating Queer Cinema this LGBTQIA+ History Month!

Following our live events at St George’s Church in Kemptown from 6th to 14th February, FilmPride returns to Latest TV!

Earlier this month, audiences gathered in St George’s Church Community Centre for a rich and varied programme of shorts and feature films spanning documentary, drama, animation, comedy, experimental film and horror. FilmPride on TV now extends that shared experience beyond the venue, bringing the festival into homes across Brighton and making it accessible to viewers online everywhere.

The FilmPride on TV programme includes a carefully curated selection of short films shown at the live festival, alongside titles selected exclusively for this TV season. Each episode offers a mix of genres and stories, reflecting the diversity, creativity and complexity of contemporary queer life.

Viewers can expect stories of love and loss, family and chosen kinship, community and resistance – as well as playful and provocative horror shorts!

Throughout the programme, FilmPride remains rooted in its core mission: to celebrate queer lives in all their strength and humanity, and to create space for connection, reflection and joy.

FilmPride on TV is available Latest TV, Freeview channel 7 and Virgin Media 159 in Brighton and the surrounding area, and can be livestreamed worldwide via thelatest.co.uk.

FilmPride is proudly volunteer-run and community-focused, and its partnership with Latest TV reflects a shared commitment to supporting local culture while amplifying global LGBTQIA+ voices. Whether you attended the live festival or are discovering FilmPride for the first time, FilmPride on TV offers a chance to experience bold, moving and unforgettable queer cinema from the comfort of your own home.
