Celebrating 50 Years of Mod Culture

It was Bank Holiday weekend, half a century since the first mod invasion, and the crowning glory of numerous ’60s themed events was this show featuring the best of the ’80s revivalists. First up were 9 Below Zero spin off, The Truth, who blasted out a set of Hammond organ-led originals alongside authentic Northern Soul covers. Secret Affair showed they were still the Ace Faces of the ’80s mods with new material perfectly complementing their signature songs. Bruce Foxton’s From The Jam tribute band closed the show, but the set was a little light on their best material.
