The Treason Show

The Treason Show has set the bar high for political satire’s 2017 inauguration. The supremely talented comedy quartet stirred the audience up with sharp-witted sketches, songs and intelligent gags. Creative director Mark Brailsford’s Trump impression was memorable and wildly funny. The team of brilliant writers had an abundance of new material for this show. Now in its 17th year, The Treason Show is a Brighton institution. It is savagely controversial and offensive, without causing offence. Apt jokes about Mein Fuhrer, Donald Trump and the Ku Klux Klan were fitting. Much of the laughter emanated from somewhere between fear, unease and hilarity. The audience stayed gripped to their seats and for all the right reasons.
