1 Fill yer boots with festive cheer when you join The Choir With No Name for The Big Christmas Singalong! The Choir With No Name is an organisation that runs choirs for homeless and marginalised people. For one night only they bring their London, Liverpool and Birmingham choirs to Brighton to present you with Christmas classics and even a chance to join in and be a part of this feelgood festive event.

2 Fine Young Cannibals frontman Roland Gift is back with his new self-titled solo album. His distinctive vocal stylings pitched him as a frontline trendsetter with FYC, since which he’s burned a path with both film acting and musical score work. Gift’s latest tour will be a mix of new favourites with old classics.

3 ‘Our Liam’ embarks on his first solo arena tour marking the release of his debut solo album, released in October – As You Were. With special guests Ray Boy and Trampolene.

4 The Cast Iron Selection Box returns for its third year, serving up a hilarious and suitably jolly celebration of new writing, comedy and cold reading. With especially-written Christmas themed short plays tied up with a ribbon and presented to performers who are as much in the dark as to their content as the audience.

5 Feeling the stress of Christmas? Of being less than perfect for your family? Needing a pick-me-up? Tickets are selling fast to the Scummy Mummies Christmas Show, an evening of festive laughs for less-than-perfect parents (and for those sans offspring too). There are promises of scummy carols, yuletide sketches, festive stand-up and very scummy Santa stories from Scummy Mummies comedians Helen Thorn and Ellie Gibson. Just the relief from the seasonal scrum.

6 The last Smiley Sunday of the year keeps one eye on your pocket – a very affordable evening out – and another on your conscience – with proceeds going to the charity TIA Volunteers, supporting volunteers in Africa. Laugh until you can’t see straight at a roster of local comics headlined by South Coast Comedian of the Year 2015 Joe Foster. The night is hosted by your MC Brodi Snook, and extra jollies come courtesy of a delightful raffle and happy hour drinks prices all night.
