RIP TONY ALLEN

Tony Allen – sadly just died – and JJ and the band I was in touring in aid of CND (a pretty good band too). JJ is now a world class photographer! As you can see it was cheap but FUN and a great cause I still believe in…. There’s a room dedicated to Tony Miller who created these posters/ PR and also died way too young and was responsible for a lot of Brighton’s pop culture explosion in Brighton Museum!

He was one of the best comedians I ever saw and it was always a privilege to be around him. He had no fear and never compromised his beliefs. A pioneer of alternative comedy at the Comedy Store, the Red Rose, and the burgeoning comedy / cabaret scene in Brighton at the Richmond and then the Zap.
