Swamp Juice

This was genuinely one of the most life enriching theatrical experiences I’ve ever had. Shadow puppets and set made from bits of scrap, the set looked like Steptoe’s garden. Its creator, a Stig Of The Dump type, tells the story of a poacher whose endeavors to catch a bird land him in a sticky situation. From conventional Indian-style shadow puppetry, to using the audience/auditorium as background set and the climatic 3D experience, the show was an absolute joy. The inventiveness and ingenuity of its creator cannot be overstated. I beamed throughout and felt five years old again. Brilliant.
