Stonehenge at Stanmer? Local Woods A Potential Site of Neolithic Importance
Local resident, Richard Fulton, has walked in Stanmer woods for over 40 years and over the years he has noticed many features that he believes may be clues that there was a site of neolithic importance in the woods. Follow his trail as he shows Latest TV his finds, which include stones with ancient carvings that may have formed a large stone circle similar to a small Stonehenge. Richard is keen on archaeology but admits he is not an expert and would love to connect with people who may be able to shed more light on this intriguing part of Sussex. Richard has pieced together old maps and books detailing a few facts about this largely unknown stone circle.
