Property news: Q Sales & Lettings and Hillreed Homes

Will your key unlock the box?

To celebrate the successful launch of their new office on Lewes Road, Q Sales & Lettings have teamed up with Hand Picked Hotels to give away a night for two at their exclusive Buxted Park Hotel (pictured below) including a three-course meal, wine and breakfast to a lucky Brighton and Hove resident.

On Thursday 18 July, 200 keys will be dropped through letterboxes across the City totally at random. One of these keys will unlock the box in their stunning new office at 195 Lewes Road. All recipients of a key will have until 4pm on Saturday 20 July to get to Q Sales & Lettings and try their key in the lock.

James Beale for Q Sales says: “Being an independent business in Brighton and Hove means being part of the community. It’s important to us to make sure we’re connecting with the people around us and we feel this is a really fun and exciting way to let people know what we’re about. It makes me feel a bit like Willy Wonker, plus it’s a great prize, so come Saturday afternoon, someone will be very happy indeed.”

If you receive one of the lucky keys don’t delay in getting down to the office, as in the event of the matching key not making it back to the office by the deadline of 4pm on Saturday 20 July, the first person to return their key will receive the prize.

Their office opening hours are 9am–6pm on weekdays and 10am–4pm on Saturday. Good luck everyone!

Hillreed homes’ latsest figure show reservations up by 11% on new homes in 1st quarter

“We are delighted to report that reservation figures for Hillreed Homes’ sites across the South East show an increase in the 1st Q of 2013 of 11% on the corresponding months of 2012” says Jo Richards, Head of Sales and Marketing.

“These figures in themselves show a much more buoyant market than last year but this is only the first quarter. In April we began offering the latest Government Scheme, ‘Help to Buy’ which to date has resulted in a noticeable spike in buyers able to commit”.

Hillreed Homes is offering the Help to Buy Scheme at all their developments, on properties up to £600,000. This is a scheme which enables buyers to purchase a new property with the help of a Government 20% equity loan. The buyer must secure a repayment based mortgage, from selected lenders; together with a deposit of only 5%.The equity loan must be repaid after 25 years or earlier if you sell your home. The first five years are interest free after which it is at a fixed low rate.

An example of how this Government Scheme can make a significant difference to prices is below:
• Two bedroom mid-terrace house £244,950 is only £195,960.
• A three bedroom house at £272,950 is only £218,360.
• A 1,112 sq ft three bedroom semi-detached home at £312,950 is £250,360.

In addition, the company often offers other incentives on specific plots including stamp duty paid, part exchange etc.
