Marine Life: Kirsty Pollard invites you to The Rockinghorse Dragon Boat Race

The Rockinghorse Dragon Boat Race takes place this weekend, Sunday 29 September, in the inner harbour, Marina Square, starting at 10am. There will be spectacular racing from companies across the city including, Santander, City Cabs, Rendezvous Casino and ICP Search who will be competing for the crown of ‘Rockinghorse Champion 2013’. Spectators will be able to see all the action from the viewing platform located along the undercliff walk.

There will also be a bouncy castle, face painters, a children’s tombola and lots more to keep the little ones entertained while the adults enjoy the fabulous BBQ provided at the Master Mariner Pub.

Proceeds raised at this fundraising event will support the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity, the official fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital (the Alex) based locally in Brighton, and continued supporter of the Trevor Mann Baby Unit. Rockinghorse raises money for life-saving and cutting-edge medical equipment while ensuring that children are treated in an environment better suited to their needs.
