Stage: Sugar Plum fairy
Vienna Festival Ballet Company bring Tchaikovsky’s famous classical ballet The Nutcracker to Worthing this October
The enchanting tale centres around Clara and her nutcracker doll, which magically transforms into a princely soldier. Their adventures see the prince and Clara combat the Mouse King and join the Sugar Plum Fairy for a wonderful trip to a kingdom made entirely of sweets.
Vienna Festival Ballet Company’s production of the traditional tale includes glamorous costumes, innovative choreography by Sheila Styles, beautiful sets and energetic dancers. The comapny are now in their 32nd year of producing ballet productions. Founder and artistic director, Austrian dancer Peter Mallek, is closely involved with each production and personally chose a group of young, international dancers for The Nutcracker.
