Pfeiffer Design have received the Sussex Heritage Small Scale Residential 2013 Award in recognition of its design and development of a contemporary extension to a converted 18th century flint barn in an East Sussex village. Pfeiffer Design worked as project managers and interior designers, alongside MHD Architects, on the property. The judges commented they had received the award for, “an interesting and well executed newly built extension to an existing flint barn with well thought out use of modern materials such as glass and decking incorporating excellent ecological features”.
In addition to winning awards, Susie Pfeiffer has had an extremely busy year so far. In collaboration with MHD Architects, one of their challenges was to design, build and complete a cafe refurbishment at St John’s College in Kemp Town, within the five-week summer holiday break. The design brief was to create a fresh, seaside-inspired space working in harmony with the ethos of the college. The finished result achieved everything and more against the brief.
Lucy Howell, St John’s catering manager, commented: “It really is looking amazing! Thank you for designing such a perfect cafe for us and within such ridiculous time constraints! I am absolutely delighted and I know the whole college is going to be blown away.”
Pfeiffer Design offers a comprehensive interior architecture and interior design service together with project management. They provide clients with a seamless, stress-free design and build process, ultimately delivering stunning spaces to live or work.
