Burning the Clocks needs public support
Burning the Clocks returns to Brighton’s seafront for the 18th year running this christmas, but they need your help in raising money to fund the event.
With only 12 days to go they are almost half way to their target of £6,000 in order to put on their spectacular fire display, which revolves around “The Deep” theme.
There are a range of incentives to allow everyone to contribute to the event, whatever the budget. Become a ‘Player’ for £30 and receive a deluxe customised lantern with your name on it or take the unique opportunity to become a “World Changer” and light the bonfire for £1,000.
There are several more ways to contribute and be involved in the event, such as becoming a “Mover” for £20 to join the team on the beach or pledge £70 and become a “Shaker” to enjoy a workshop at Same Sky.
The event marks the shortest day of the year as thousands of people from the community come together in a procession of home-made lanterns before gathering around an enormous bonfire that illuminates Brighton’s seafront.
Burning the Clocks is organised by Same Sky – the South-East’s largest community arts charity – and will take place on Saturday 21 December.
