Cirque Beserk

This was a jaw-slackening extravaganza which combined contemporary “cirque” skills with a Dickensian backdrop of old-fashioned circus favourites. The array of talent and skill was dizzying, from the tightrope walking with bicycles, to a superbly risqué aerial rope performance and a chimp-masked tumbler troupe, whose human towers are a feat of sheer synchronised athleticism. Without doubt the highlight was the Globe Of Death, however, which comprised four men on motocross bikes whizzing around in an oversized metal hamster ball at 60mph. And honestly, could it get any better than that? Cirque Berserk is, without doubt, something not to be missed.
