Brighton Marina: Kirsty Pollard on RNLI Flag Day

Each year, the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) run Flag Day, a dedicated collection to raise essential funds to continue to provide search and rescue missions on our seas. A small number of volunteers will be collecting at various locations across Brighton Marina on Saturday 12 July, between 9am and 1pm.

The Royal National Lifeboat Institution save lives at sea, and are run by hard-working volunteers who provide 24-hour search and rescue services. They rely on public donations and legacies to maintain their rescue service and enable them to provide help whenever it is needed. As a charity, RNLI do not receive government funding but instead work alongside government controlled and funded coastguard services.

Brighton RNLI dedicated supporter and fundraiser, Margaret Minski, said:
“Our volunteers are so reliable and they give 100%. We hope to raise as much as is possible and also hope to beat last year’s figure of £800”.

Help RNLI by showing your support – come and give generously this Saturday for RNLI’s Flag Day.
