I Am Hamlet

This well put together two hander showed an amateur theatre director desperate for a Hamlet, until he meets Simon …

This dark comedy highlights ZLS’s debut show as one of many strong shows to come. Paul H. Bentinck’s Tom was a very apt portrayal of a director, whose ego gets in the way every time. His high energy showed an Arthur Lowe-esque style of comedy which is rarely seen now and was engaging. As for Warren Saunders (Simon), he contrasted well with a character who was not all he seemed. His dynamics, however, needed to change more abruptly to heighten the comedy.
