The Polyphonic Spree

Tim DeLaughter’s robed happy-clapper vocal combo made a welcome return with a performance of their debut album to celebrate its 15th anniversary. Fourteen strong and all clad in white, the sermon began with a blissful ‘Have A Day’ and continued with an often eerie, hippy trippy psychedelic set. The album’s closer ‘Light And Day’ was symphonic and the sense of euphoria was shared between the band and the audience. The rest of the show was comprised of well-chosen golden nuggets of joy from their back catalogue plus a Monkees cover. An evening of great pop on an epic scale.
