Three Generations of Women, and Ellie Ford

Three women, one family. This is a play about Frankie, in her 30s, childless by choice and as independent as she likes; Gilly, her mother, child of the 1960s who became a single mother; and Elsie, the grandmother she never knew. Until now. This is an exploration of what it means to be a woman, and how each generation discovers themselves anew, while some things never change. Personal and universal at the same time, this is a clever, warm play that still manages to inject humour into sadness and not become over-sentimental.

Followed by ethereal and melodic music by harpist Ellie Ford.
