Man’s body airlifted to hospital off Hove Lawns

A body has been found washed up on the beach off Hove Lanws.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at just before 9.30am this morning to deal with the incident.

RNLI teams and the coastguard helicopter were among those in attendance.

The body was recovered from the water about an hour later before the helicopter took the body to the Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.
