Pappy’s – Work In Progress

Pappy’s is an anarchic, frankly hilarious and at times delightfully shambolic sketch group, all of which means that the ‘Work In Progress’ label is unlikely to hinder the broad grins and sense of fun they bring to every show. We had a blast, with established sketches like Old Louie, mixing up with one about mistaken soundtracks and another with ridiculously outfitted gospel singers. There were a couple of duds, but this being sketches and songs they passed quickly and were soon forgotten. The montage finale however was a tour de force and I can’t wait to see it again when they come back with a tighter show.
