Andrew Kay embraces the world of TV (and no, that does not mean he has started cross-dressing)

Anyone who knows the boss Latest Bill, will know that he is a man of great passions and enthusiasm. It is because of this that right now some of us are whipped up into a frenzy of activity surrounding Latest TV. Have you watched it online? You really must, there are lots of great episodes of Brighton Lights to catch up on and you can even catch me embarking on my new venture into presenting.

Presenting TV now, are you? I can hear you say. Well, why ever not? Bill asked so I gave it about a moment’s thought and said yes. Before I knew it I was up a ladder chatting to Jodie Prenger and Todd Carty (it’s all there on the website).

“It makes me feel good to be involved with a project as exciting as Latest TV”

Now I am working on two very exciting TV projects. The first is related to my love of theatre and already I am filming interviews with amazing people like Vanessa Redgrave, Mark Baldwin from Rambert Dance Company and Denise Black who starred in Coronation Street, Queer As Folk and is now hoofing it around the UK in a major tour of Sister Act playing Mother Superior, so not exactly type-cast, is she?

The great thing is the amount of enthusiasm I am getting from all of these people for the project, enough in fact to make not just a one off but a regular show.

My other TV project is a documentary covering my upcoming International Chef Exchange project in the Spring Harvest events of the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival. Chef Audrey will arrive in early April for a week of food fun and I will be there with the cameras to record the whole thing.

Then, in early summer, I will be off to Maastricht with chef Andy MacKenzie of Drakes Hotel to do the same for his exchange visit.

And I’m loving it, hard work it is, but my god it makes me feel good to be involved with a project as exciting as Latest TV is turning out to be. So thanks Bill, even though I know you know that my answer is usually yes.
