Quiet Act of Destruction – New Art Club
It’s not often I’m asked to seductively thrust my hips back and forth at a complete stranger, but Quiet Act of Destruction isn’t an ordinary comedy show. Written and performed by New Art Club aka Pete Shenton and Tom Roden, the story centres around two villages who are embroiled in conflict because of the planned renaming of the local railway station. It is brilliantly interactive. The audience are integral in dramatising the story in the most absurd and outlandish ways with song, dance, games and food fights all being used to great effect. Like Reeves and Mortimer with a little more direction, this award-winning show continues to be jaw-achingly funny.
