Weird Creatures – An Evening With Nick Baker

WARNING – This show features really ugly animals….but they are also really interesting, especially when someone as passionate and erudite as Nick Baker is talking about them. It was essentially a lecture, with Nick talking the audience through his various adventures (via photos and clips of his TV show) in attempting to locate a number of obscure and otherwise unheard of animals (pick fairy armadillo, olms of Slovenia and star-nosed mole being just a few). Nick was an engaging speaker and has a naive charm which is endearing and captivating. The show over-ran by nearly an hour as Nick chatted to keen naturalists during and after the show. A real treat.
