Encompassing all the enthusiasm of Johnny Ball post teatime in the 1980s, Matt Parker and Timandra Harkness have put together a fascinating and cheeky look at statistics, and in particular the stats concerning life expectancy for those currently living in the UK. Morbid as it sounds, this was an uplifting and intellectually engaging show peppered with graphs, props and sound effects, re-igniting and fanning interests in mathematics throughout the packed Studio Bar. I had a whale of a time, enjoying the high brow with bells and whistles and no need of a calculator. Heartily recommended to anyone who can Think Of A Number.
