Henning Wehn – No Surrender

Germany’s self-appointed comedy ambassador to Britain has acquired a much higher profile on TV and radio over recent years, and it appears to have paid dividends for his act. Wehn had the audience on side from the very start, and his more polished and relaxed delivery allowed him to confront extremely difficult subjects with relative ease. Holocaust denial, Robert Mugabe’s torture regime and nuking the Chinese were all tackled in a manner that never stepped over the line, but also didn’t pander to the accepted way of dealing with this type of risky material. Top, efficient, hard-working fun.
