Heroes Run
Superheroes flocked to Brighton seafront on Sunday 20 May for one of the greatest summer event spectacles: The Heroes Run. There were more superheroes than the recent Avengers movie, with people turning out as the Incredible Hulk, Spiderman and even Smurfs, all in the name of charity.

Draw Brighton
Draw Brighton, led by head tutor Jack Spicer, recently won a prestigious Drawing Inspiration Award for their 2011 White Night event Corporeal. Draw Brighton runs drawing events all over the South East of England; the Brighton Life Drawing Sessions form the core of Draw’s adult education programme.

Special screening at the Duke Of York’s
It was a flashback to the vintage feel of the old Cannes Cinema Club down at the Duke Of York’s on Tuesday 22 May. Stella sponsored the first ever special Red Carpet screening of a classic film. The film chosen for screening at this first event? Tarantino’s iconic 1994 flick Pulp Fiction.

Motor Vehicle Centre opens at City College
City College Brighton and Hove opened their new Motor Vehicle Centre in style on Friday 18 May. The event, attended by Mayor Bill Randall and Albion legend Dick Knight, marked the official opening of the college’s new £823,000 workshop at the City College East campus. The new facility has MOT standard equipment including five ramps and modern IT facilities, with enough space for more than one group of students to work at once.
