Big Beach Bootique, Centurion Group host City Plan Question Time and Brighton Marathon 2013 Launch

Big Beach Bootique 2012
While the entire country prepared to celebrate the Diamond Jubilee, the county of Sussex celebrated Brighton’s fifth Big Beach Boutique at the Amex Stadium. Over two days, crowds of revellers gathered in their thousands to celebrate the return of their very own royal, Superstar DJ Norman Cook (aka Fatboy Slim), on Friday 1st and Saturday 2nd June.

The Two Bears introduced the beach party on Friday, followed by Maya Jane Coles. Luciano’s house music and Carl Cox got the party started before Cook’s arrival. Fatboy Slim  began with ‘Star 69’, ‘Praise You’ and ‘That Miami Track’ to an incredible ovation, before dropping a beat with lasers and psychedelic visuals to match. Norman Cook is the first one to perform a musical event at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton Half Marathon 2013 Launch
The Brighton Half Marathon 2013 launch was held at the Seattle Hotel in the Brighton Marina and was formally launched by the Deputy Mayor of Brighton & Hove, Cllr Anne Meadows. This will be the 23rd year of the race which will be held on Sunday 17 February 2013. The Half Marathon is the primary fundraiser for The Sussex Beacon, a clinical care centre for men and women living with HIV.

In 2012 the race raised £250,00 across all charities and the race will be limited to 10,500 entrants and ALL the required information can be found at their brand new website www.brightonhalfmarathon.com

Centurion Group host City Plan Question Time
Following on from their recent successful event at Hotel du Vin, Centurion Group ran a City Plan Question Time debate at Brighton College on 31 May.

Entitled Generating Future Investment for Our City, this event focussed on the regeneration and development aspects of the Brighton & Hove City Plan.

Set up by the local landlord and property company, Centurion Group together with Sprunt, London architect and development consultant, the aim of these regular events is to create interest and investment for the city.
Each event promotes discussion of current issues within the local property market: making new contacts, hearing about the latest initiatives and ideas from around the country, and most importantly, promoting the city of Brighton & Hove.
