Dr Brown: Becaves
It might seem like a criticism to say that Doctor Brown had more fun than his audience last night, but it isn’t one: for a bewildering, baffling and brilliant hour of anarchic clowning, the audience were his plaything. Brown is simultaneously innocent and menacing; charming and intimidating – and almost always without saying a word. As he lured various audience members onto the stage (or clambered into the seating to find them), those left untouched witnessed a spectacularly weird, yet undeniably memorable show. The reluctant heroes who were directly involved will doubtless never forget it either. Delightfully out of the ordinary.
