Black Stone Cherry
Black Stone Cherry took to the stage like men possessed, the spirit of rock and roll flowing through their veins. Yes, the band can play; yes, they were tight; yes, they write good tunes. But what really set them apart is that they were simply having a blast, as keen to throw classic rock shapes as they stood on their monitors as they were on beating songs out of their instruments. Simple, honest and loud southern-tinged rock music played by a band who would be in the audience if they weren’t onstage. They loved it; the audience loved it.
