Cyclist hit by van in Portslade

A 58-year-old cyclist from Portslade has been knocked off his bike by a white van.

Sussex Police urged witnesses to come forward after the van – which was described as possibly a Ford Transit – drove off after the collision.

Ambulance paramedics treated the cyclist for injuries at the scene, including bruising to his shoulder, side and hips.

The collision happened near Victoria Park in Old Shoreham Road, Portslade, at about 1pm on Wednesday (11 July).

The white van was said to have blanked out sides, windows in the rear doors and a GB sticker on the number plate.
